Florece en los meses de octubre - noviembre.
El género Aspidogyne está representado por unas 30 especies, 5 de las cuales están presentes en Argentina.
Land graceful small to medium size, has cauline leaves, stalked, bright green with a silvery white stripe on the midrib. It grows in damp, shady areas in primary or secondary, under the foliage of ferns and shrubs. Has an apical inflorescence, erect, with 5-12 flowers, densely pubescent. The petals and sepals are white with a green stripe on the lateral sepals. The lip is white with two yellow spots on its sides and base of the lip light green. In a vegetative state can be confused with Aspidogyne kuczynskii, which is difrencia for being more robust and by having the petiole sheath.
It blooms in the months of October-November.
